Temple Villa played Ballinasloe in the U11 Larry Hayes Premier
League at home, on Saturday this was a back match. Villa played with a very strong wind in the first half and their forwards
had the Ballinasloe keeper Luke Ward very busy. He made two fine saves in the first three minutes. Ballinasloe then got into the game with Thomas Ryan and Kyle Feehily and Mark O Connor having shots saved
by James Ganley in the Villa goal. Jack O Kelly Lynch at the other end had two shots in the space of two minutes brilliantly
saved by L Ward. The last action of the first half fell to Kyle Feehily his effort was saved by J Ganley to leave it all square
at half time. Villa subs were Barry Digby, Oisin McNamara, and Tom Fallon while Ballinasloe’s Ross Keller made
his return to goal after been out for some weeks with a broken leg. Adam O Connor and Colin Dolan also came on. Ballinasloe
now had a strong wind with them and in the second minute Mark o Connor was fouled a couple yards outside the box Joe Woods
hit a super shot which hit the roof of the net. Two minutes later Conor Daly
scored to make it two nil his fifth goal this season In the ninth minute M O Connor sent a great pass to C Dolan who made
no mistake on the volley his fourth goal of the season. Villa created a couple of chances, but could not get past the visitors
defence Ross Keller had a easy come back in goal. Best for villa were J Ganley, R. Murray, J O K Lynch D Allen. In fairness
the weather conditions for this game were not good. Well done to both teams for a very entertaining game Teams:

HOME Vs St. Josephs - 11th December 2004
Ballinasloe Town played St Josephs in a thrilling game in St Endas on sat 11th Dec, the town were first to attack
& in fourth minute T Ryan was unlucky not to have scored his shot went just wide of target. Luke Ward had to make a super save from Josephs Cian Duffy on the tenth minute, K Fehilly C Dolan &
M O Connor all had chances but could not beat the Saints keeper. Both teams created
chances but to no avail so the first half ended all square. C Daly, S Pender, & J Woods came on in the second half replacing
A O Connor, T Ryan, K Fehilly for Ballinasloe. It was S Pender who broke the dead lock when he scored from outside the box
to put the home team in front eight minutes into the second half, three minutes later Josephs Fiachra Lennon blasted his shot
just over the bar, the Saints put a lot of pressure on the Ballinasloe rear guard and Luke Ward was called into action again
to make the save of the day from David Harringtons shot. Ballinasloe then put
pressure on visitors defence and looked all set to hold on and take the full points with four minutes to go. But after a goalmouth
scramble the home defence failed to clear their line and Fiachra Lennon gave the town keeper no chance to level the match,
at this stage a draw was on the cards. In the last minute S Pender on the right wing passed a great ball to C Dolan who
hit the winner with one of the sweetest goals he has ever scored, a nice Christmas box for the team and a delighted manager
W Dolan Ballinasloe now go into the new year with clean sheet unbeaten in six games five wins and one draw they now top their
group.
Mullingar Wolves V Ballinasloe played in Mullingar on Sat 27th Nov 04 Ballinasloe were without two of their key players for this important
game, J Woods & S Pender who had other commitments. But Eoin McCormack and Cian Dowd on loan from Peter Mc Cormacks
U 10 team were two very good replacements, Eoin followed his class act of two weeks ago when he scored two goals against
Ballinahown, he repeated the same in Mullingar with two goals in less than ten minutes. His first in the second minute when
a great ball from Adam O’Connor came off a Mullingar defender to Eoin and he scored from close range. Five minutes
later he was on target again this time Cian Dowd provided the cross to put Ballinasloe two up. It looked like the Town were
heading for another big win but Mullingar had other ideas they worked hard to get back in the game and should have scored
late in the first half when Adam O Connor handled in the box but the spot kick was saved by Luke Ward who had a brilliant
game in goal. Thomas Ryan, Kyle Fehilly & Colin Dolan, replaced E McCormack. C Dowd. A O Connor at half time, Mullingar
tried hard to break down the Ballinasloe defence but James Shaughnessy was rock solid and never put a foot wrong, he had one
of his best games this season. Conor Daly, Mark O Connor Kyle Fehilly & Colin
Dolan all worked hard to score but the Mullingar defence held on well to keep the score at 2 nil. This was a good win for Ballinasloe
and all ten players can take a clap on the back for their teamwork.
Team manager Willie Dolan would like to thank Mike
Fehilly for his help on the day.
Ballinasloe Vs
Ballinahown - Saturday 13th November in St. Enda's
The home side were without two of their key players, Ross Keller was out with a broken leg and Shane Pender
had other unavoidable commitments. Ballinasloe had Owen McCormack on loan from
Peter McCormack’s U10 team, he played the first half and scored two great goals in the first ten minutes. Conor Daly also got his name on the score to leave Ballinasloe 3 nil up at the break. Ballinahown created a few chances but could not get past the home defence with Adam O’Connor, J.
Shaughnessy and J. Woods not putting a foot wrong. T. Ryan, K Fehily, C. Dolan replaced L. Ward, A. O’Connor and O.
McCormack at half time. Ballinasloe top striker C. Daly took over from L. Ward in goal.
The three subs went on a goal scoring spree with all 3 getting on the score sheet with Kyle Feehily hitting the net
twice, T Ryan & C Dolan also scored to give Ballinasloe a 7 nil win and are now in the top three on the league table with
3 wins and a draw from 4 outings. As Ballinasloe failed to supply a ref on the day a Official from Ballinahown took charge
of the first half with Pat Daly doing the second half, a BIG thank you to both men for refereeing a trouble free match.

Venue
Cam Celtic Grounds Hudson Bay 2 Vs Ballinasloe 3
Ballinasloe defeated Hudson Bay
in a very close encounter in Brideswell. Ballinasloe started well with some good
attacks. Connor Daly put a free kick just over. However it was Hudson Bay who
took the lead with a good goal from Eddie Egan in the 7th minute. Ballinasloe
got back on level terms, a free kick by Mark O Connor went to Conor Daly who scored from close range in the 15th
minute, to leave them level at half time. Ballinasloe made three changes at half time Cailean Cox, Kyle Feehily, Luke Ward
replaced C.Dolan, T Ryan & A O Connor. The Town scored their second goal,

Both teams had good chances. Ross Keller had a fine game in goal and could not be blamed for any of the goals, with
about five minutes to go Brian Dolan scored a great goal for the Bay .It looked like both teams were going to share the spoils,
with just minutes to go. Conor Daly scored his second goal to give Ballinasloe both points.
A great win for the town and their new
Manager W Dolan . Thanks to Tony Coyne team coach, and Pat Daly, both were a great help on the day .
